Coventry City have won the race to sign Swansea City defender Joel Latibeaudiere, after agreeing a £500,000 compensation package between the two club's, beating the likes of Luton Town to his services.
The 23-year-old has became the clubs latest signing, following the arrival of Bristol City defender Jay Dasilva, Everton's Ellis Simms, KV Oostende's Tatsuhiro Sakamoto and Barnsley's Brad Collins as the club's recruitment continues to strengthen ahead of the 2023/24 EFL Championship season.
Latibeaudiere began his professional career with Premier League giants Manchester City, before spending the 2019/20 season with Dutch side FC Twente on a season-long loan deal. Within months, he made the switch to Swansea City on a permanent deal, playing a key role as both a right-back and centre-back, helping them to compete for the play-offs.
The Jamaican international has signed a four year contract with the Championship side after the compensation package was agreed between both clubs.
Welcome aboard Joel!
