Coventry City have completed their sixth signing of the summer transfer window as Burnley defender Bobby Thomas completes a £2 million switch to the Skyblues
The 22-year-old has became the clubs latest signing, following the arrival of Bristol City defender Jay Dasilva, Everton's Ellis Simms, KV Oostende's Tatsuhiro Sakamoto, Barnsley's Brad Collins and Swansea's Joel Latibeaudiere as the club's recruitment continues to strengthen ahead of the 2023/24 EFL Championship season.
Thomas was a product of the Burnley academy and enjoyed a brief Non-League loan, before moving into the EFL with Barrow, where he scored his first professional goal. Since then, he began the 2022/23 season with Bristol Rovers, slotting in at the heart of the clubs defence, before switching to Barnsley for the remainder of the season, helping them to reach the play-off final.
The English defender has signed a four year contract with the Championship side after the two sides agreed a seven figure fee for his services.
Welcome aboard Bobby!
