First-half

The game began with a floury of goals for either side, beginning with the home side. Former Skyblues academy graduate Dan Lafferty opened the scoring for the home side with a neat finish after just seven minutes.

However, within ten minutes the Skyblues levelled the scoring through a trialist, who did brilliantly to get the better of former Coventry City goalkeeper Liam O'Brien.

Both sides continued to create chances, with Dan Lafferty continuing to cause Coventry all sorts of problems but wasn't able to get the better as the two sides settled for a draw at the break.

However, in the 84th minute, Stratford Town sealed the victory against the Skyblues through a superb strike from Riley O'Sullivan from distance, with his effort flying past Coventry's trialist goalkeeper.
